The International Plan is sponsoring a spring semester symposium scheduled for January 28, 2010.

The symposium will consist of oral presentations and poster sessions the purpose of which are to allow you to explore the role of and/or connect your global experiences with your academic and professional lives. This is also a chance to share your experiences with other students and to showcase the interesting things you learned and accomplished abroad.

Some examples of possible topics are:
International teams performing research and development, design, and manufacturing
The effect of the global corporate work environment on [insert your major here]
[insert your major here] and virtual teams over the Internet
Spain's/Germany's/China's approach to [insert your major here] design/practice

Please submit a one or two paragraph description (limit 300 words) of your topic to me at karen.pierce@oie.gatech.edu by Friday, November 20, 2009. Include your first/last name, major, project title, project type (oral presentation or poster) and whether yours would be a team or individual project.

Oral Presentation Proposals: students should have completed both terms of their international experience requirement to be eligible.
Poster Session Proposals: students should have completed at least one term of their international experience requirement to be eligible.
